Welcome
Hello everyone, welcome to our AGM, and thanks for coming. In order to attend this meeting, you need to be a paid up member, so if you haven’t renewed yet, make sure you see me with your money before the meeting starts.
Summer Holiday
Just a reminder that the holiday must be paid in full by the May meeting. As always, to help spread the cost, we are accepting periodic payments to avoid paying it all in one go. Please remember to bring your payment cards with you though, so you have a record of what you have paid.
Day Trips
Our first trip of the year is to Llandudno, on Friday 24th March. The coach leaves the stadium at 09.15, and the Red Admiral at 09.30, the cost being £10 a head. Please give your names to Dianne with your payment. For a long time now, the club has had to subsidise the coach cost, when it should pay for itself. So the choice is that either we get more bums on seats, or we increase the cost per head. So the ball is firmly in the members court, ideally we need to have more people supporting these trips. Bring your friends and family, your neighbours, anyone who would like to have a great day out for a little money. If we aren’t organising the right trips to enthuse you, then tell us, and suggest some alternatives.

Thanks
Can I thank Cath Ashton for donating the bingo machine to the club, we’re bound to get a lot of use from it, and will save us hiring one each time.
Mayors Charity
Firstly, the next fundraising event is on Friday 17th March here at the stadium, and is a St Patricks night party. There is leek and potato soup, braised steak in Guinness and a dessert on offer, with entertainment from the Symmbolliks, and a raffle. Tickets are £15 each. A pint of Guinness to everyone in Irish fancy dress. This is a fabulous night, you’ll have a great time! Give me your names and payment if you want to join us on the night.
Next, we have tickets on sale tonight for a once in a lifetime chance for 4 people to visit the site and travel across the trestle bridge which runs alongside the new Mersey Gateway bridge. They are £2 each.
And finally the Mayors Charity are holding a balloon race, which will see them released at a Widnes Vikings home match in April or May. The tickets are only £1 each, and the balloon which travels the furthest will generate a cash prize for the purchaser.
Thanks to you all for coming to support your club tonight. Don’t forget, we still have suggestions slips available for you to comment on what we are doing right or wrong, or to ask us to consider a new destination for a day trip, or a different activity on club nights. We want everyone to have a say on how the club is run, and these slips are there for that purpose so please use them. Have a good night.
Take Care
