Welcome
Hello everyone and welcome to what should have been our February meeting, but sadly we will all have to celebrate Valentines night at home. We have 2 couples who celebrate their wedding anniversaries on Valentines day, namely Bob and Carole Bryant, and Beranice and Mike Duncan, for whom it is their first. Congratulations to both couples you hopeless romantics!
Spring Break
19th-22nd March 2021
Blackpool The Bond Hotel
Due to current lockdown The Bond Hotel has decided it will not be reopening in time for our trip to Blackpool. But we have been offered an alternative date which is December 17th – 20th thus making it a Turkey and Tinsel break. All members booked on the spring holiday have been informed, but if any other members wish to book on this break please contact Dianne on 01928 573801 and she will enquire with the hotel to see if there is a room for you.
Summer Holiday Balances
Dianne is in possession now of a list of how much each of you owe for the summer holiday in Hayling Island. She will be in contact with everyone booked on this trip to discuss outstanding balances.

The holiday must be paid in full by the end of March.

We can assure everyone that this venue is covered by free COVID-19 insurance protection. Dianne has rechecked with Anthony’s travel about the latest Covid information and has had this reply.
“As of today, currently you are required to social distance on coaches, and wear face coverings (unless medically exempt).
Capacity is reduced but total passengers are based on certain factors.
Generally if anyone lives alone its one double seat per passenger, however if they are in the same bubble (household) they can sit together so the numbers going up, however by June we would hope that many of the measures would have been relaxed but we have no certainty.
In relation to on the vehicle already 80% of our staff have had the first vaccination as essential transport workers, by your trip all will have had the second dose”

Single Person Holiday Supplements
The club will fund the whole cost of any future single person supplements, to enable everyone to be able to enjoy our planned holidays without facing extra costs.

Annual General Meeting
It has been decided to defer the AGM to when we can all meet again, hopefully soon in the future.
Mike Duncan is due for re-election this year. There is still 1 vacancy on the committee for anybody who would like to volunteer for these positions. Anybody who would like this opportunity please forward their name to Dianne Ryder.

Bob has returned as an active committee member with immediate effect.
