A coach load of us left Runcorn on a rainy morning on our way to Croyde Bay Resort for a weeks holiday. As usual, we had a rest break in Tewkesbury for an hour and half. It was rainy and there was a very chill wind blowing. Some of us went to The Hop Pole for refreshments whilst others either went to visit the Abbey or wandered around the hidden courtyards, finding surprising places such as the Shakespear family plot in the Baptist cemetery.
We then made our way to North Devon through lashing rain. The scenery of North Devon is beautiful. We were made very welcome by the staff of the Croyde Bay Resort and we are extremely impressed by their rooms and the facilities. We are really looking forward to our stay.
