Let’s Go Stroke Club 21st Birthday Celebrations
On 8 August 2018 it was 21st anniversary 0f the beginning of our Club. Over 21 years hundreds of stroke people and their families have received support and friendship from the Club. It is wonderful what can be achieved when we all work together and support each other.
Nicola Jay of Newton le Willows provided the entertainment. A wonderful singer and extremely warm and friendly personality. It is the first time she performed for us and we will certainly invite again.
Halton Mayor John Bradshaw and his wife Councillor Marjorie Bradshaw generously gave their time to attend our celebrations together with Councillors Ged Philbin, his partner Roz Wong together with Councillors Tom and Anne McInerney who have been long standing supporters of our club activities.
We invited many of our supporters to our party as a way of expressing our appreciation of their continuing support together with representatives of The Stroke Association.
The room was decorated beautifully by the staff of Select Security Stadium and they also provided our delicious hot and cold buffet, all of which was much enjoyed.
It is hard to believe that our Club has been around for so long and is continuing to be successful no matter how often the Committee changes. Our Committee always works hard toward maintaining a successful and enjoyable Club. We do it for the love of the Club and each other. We are a success story of 21 years. Many thanks to all Committee members past and present.
