Teignmouth and Dawlish

Today we spent the morning in Teignmouth.  Not very sunny and quite windy but before very long it improved.  We were all reminded by our driver not to eat a big lunch as we were to have cream tea with Mayor of Dawlish at 2pm.

We spent an hour actually in Dawlish town centre before travelling up to The Mansion House

The drive to it was a challenge to Mike our driver but he expertly parked us in the grounds and we were warmly welcomed by Lisa the Mayor.

She personally served us our cream teas and was an excellent host and was extremely interested in hearing about club activities and wanted to learn about our access difficulties.  She was extremely impressed with our accessible coach and keen to try to provide a similar vehicle for her community.  She warmly saw us on our way home and encouraged us to visit again.
