NEWSLETTER JUNE 2016
We will be issuing luggage tags for the holiday tonight. Room numbers have not been finalised, although the room types have. They will be allocated on arrival. The coach will depart the Select Security Stadium on Sunday at 7.45am, and Runcorn Bus Station at 08.00 am. If you haven’t completed an up to date emergency contact form yet, please see a committee member for a blank one.
Don’t forget to bring all your medications.
Last month a group of us went to the racing at Haydock Park. We couldn’t have wished for better weather, considering what we had experienced earlier in the week. Everyone commented on what a great time they had, and nobody appeared to be looking afterwards for the phone number for gamblers anonymous. We hope to make a return trip later in the year possibly.
Even though some members will be away on holiday, the afternoon club will still take place, so please support it as much as you can.
Because of the summer holiday, there won’t be a day trip this month, but we have the following lined up:
Friday 22nd July
Friday 19th August
Belle Vue Greyhounds
Friday 23rd September
Botany Bay / Bygone Times, Chorley
The Motley Ukes (Ukelele band)
19th Birthday Party with free buffet
As I said last month, we have been chosen by the Mayor as one of his charities this year. The first fundraising evening is on Friday 8th July here at the stadium. Tickets are priced at £15 each, and includes a three course meal, a live band, The Fuse, and a DJ until the early hours. Please give your names to Dianne tonight with your money, or make arrangements to pay me at least by the end of the month, so I can organise tickets from the Mayor. These events are always popular, and a great night’s entertainment is virtually guaranteed. Don’t forget that by coming along, you are also benefitting the club.
Thanks for coming tonight and supporting your club. If you aren’t coming away on holiday with us then we look forward to seeing you all next month.
